STC and Aircraft Modifications

The GDC Group is at the forefront of the industry for technological modifications and upgrades for Next-Generation Boeing and Airbus aircraft. GDC Engineering has engineered multiple KA-Band and Live TV installation across various Boeing and Airbus aircraft. In 2017, GDC Technics accomplished the first ever installation of Live Television on a VVIP B787. We have worked in conjunction with Boeing to perform many different external penetrations to composite airframes. Our teams are able to complete these installations in minimum downtime and can be carried out during maintenance service, completion work, or as a quick and easy service installation.


GDC Engineering holds full TC (Type Certification) level though our EASA Part 21J Design Organisation Approval (DOA) without limitations. This approval status extends through both EASA, via our DOA and FAA approvals via our US ODA. Our capabilities extend from the development of EASA Part 145 and EASA Part G manufacturing accomplishment instructions EO’s (engineering orders) to major STC modifications such as full scale development of a cargo door conversion program to large external IFE antenna such as SATCOM and Ka-Band installations. GDC Engineering is also involved in developing our own STC’s in support of the mandated ADS-B out and in modifications programs which will cover all aircraft types including regional, executive jets and cargo aircraft.

As part of our joint EASA and FAA approvals with our parent company GDC Technics, The GDC Group also has the full capability in providing aircraft completions at our facilities in Texas, where we are developing a proven global capability on aircraft completions and modifications.
